Very little

As you see our siding has been competed. On the flip side, nothing, I mean nothing has been touched inside for the last thirteen days. This is such a waste. I spoke with the PM and he is making up more excuses. We are in the unfortunate position where we can't check on the progress but every two weeks and we feel as if he takes advantage of this. Another reason we feel this way is because the PM will take two to three days to respond to a text or call and that's lucky, we normally have to write multiple times.

NVR Closing timeline

We received a letter from NVR closing dept today stating that we are able to close on June 23rd!!!! This is great news except we are starting our new jobs on that day. Another weird thing is that we just finished our pre-drywall meeting with our PM four days ago and he stated that our settlement walk through would be on the 27th and he would like a week two fix the issues that would come up and so we couldn't close until the first week of July. I am beyond happy to be closing sooner, but this lack of communication between the PM and us is horrific.

Inspector gadget

We finally passed our electrical and general building inspections. Not that we were Failed at anytime for the quality of the build, it was just waiting 6 days for the inspectors to show up and we lost that week of progress.

Pre drywall

On Friday May 9th we had our pre-drywall meeting with our PM. It was very uneventful as he just confirmed our selections and walked around the house. We were informed that nothing has been done on our house since the Wednesday before and won't have anything done till at least Monday or Tuesday because the PM didn't schedule the inspections correctly. Damn it!!!  We asked him about moving the closing date up and he said the pre-settlement walk through is still on June 27th and we can close the week after. This doesn't make any sense on why it will take 60 days from now to finish the house when the timeline from Ryan Homes and our sales rep says the Palermo is a 67 day build from when they break ground on a well timed out build. But anyways, I will quit my rant and enjoy a donut that we bought for the invisible crew working on our house.

The roof is on.

The weekly Thursday update from our SR was a pleasant surprise while we were at dinner. I'm starting to like these pictures she always sends looking through her window while she does a drive by. We have been trying to get in contact with our PM to see if he was able to get the electrician to wire the garage carriage lights to the front door switch. This is the only thing out of a number of request that the PM didn't shoot down during our first meeting. He told us he will build the house Ryan Homes tells him to. Nothing less and barely anything more. But we are really excited about the progress he is making. He might not be the most talkative man, but he can build a house quickly.
and the next day we are still at this level.

I'm also wondering about the house wrap. Usually it is applied when they are framing since they are already working around all the windows and such. You can see a remnant of the wrap under the roof line.
